Jared's Birthday--Los Angeles/Pasadena

To celebrate Jared's 28th birthday, we started out the day heading out to LA to go to church with Nate and Kim. That was such a cool way to start a birthday- the service really spoke ot our hearts and the worship was awesome. We spent the afternoon in Pasadena, sight seeing around Old Town and grabbing coffee at a cool local roasting company called Jones. We headed back to West Hollywood for dinner at an asian bistro on Sunset with almost all the siblings. The food was amazing- fresco style chinese food! We ended up the day at Susina Cafe where Kim surprised Jared with a whole cherry pie (Jared's fav) made earlier that day at the bakery. We had such a fun day and the best part was getting to celebrate someone who is SO loved, appreciated, admired and adored. Cheers to you, Jared...my bestest friend and may God bless you in this next year of life. I have a feeling this will be an incredible year full of blessings and joy!
Dinner at Chin Chin Asian Grille on Sunset Blvd., LA

Coffee at a place called Jones Coffee in Pasadena- very good coffee, very cool atmosphere!

Whenever the four of us are together, Nate always gets a picture like this...somehow on the first try he'll hold out the camera and get all of us in! Who says you have to ask someone to take pictures of a group?

Interview Day!

Monday morning Jared had his official interview at the dental school. It was a big deal and Jared said it went really well. He was so pleased with every aspect of the interview and his interviewer, who is the Dean of Student Affairs, made it clear to Jared that he is a huge fan of him and all the passion and drive behind Jared's desire to be a dentist. We won't know the outcome until this spring, so keep the prayers coming, but we are feeling really good about our future having the interview behind us now. Jared came to my office right when he got out of the interview and I have to say I think he's one of the best looking guys in a suit I've ever seen. It was so fun to get to hear about the interview right after it was over since he was up on the 5th floor and I was anxiously waiting for him to be done down on the 3rd floor. I just have to say, we LOVE Loma Linda. I couldn't think of a better place to be right now...

This one turned out a little blurry, but it's the only one we took of the two of us. A nice lady took this for us who said she didn't know how to work a digital camera. :)
Doesn't he look so handsome!!! A big thanks to mom and dad who sponsored this suit...what a blessing to have their support and help in this!
